Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled leader to drive the development of software and firmware architectures for advanced workstation platforms. This role requires expertise in operating systems, firmware components, AI software architecture, and system-level integration to deliver cutting-edge solutions for enterprise and professional users.

Key Responsibilities

  • Firmware and OS Architecture Leadership

    • Lead the team in designing and developing software and firmware architectures for Microsoft and Linux operating systems.

    • Focus on firmware components such as PD, SIO, NIC, USB, and Thunderbolt (TBT).

    • Ensure early engagement with key stakeholders and seamless product release.

  • AI Software Optimization

    • Understand AI software architecture and performance benchmark frameworks.

    • Guide the team in optimizing AI software architecture and track performance estimations for public release.

  • Platform Integration

    • Define integration points across firmware, software, drivers, and OS architecture, including feature sets, interfaces, and algorithms.

    • Assess BIOS interactions and propose harmonized architecture plans for overlapping responsibilities.

    • Define structure and ownership models for firmware components.

  • Validation and Quality

    • Coordinate with validation leads to integrate FW/SW design into system validation plans and execution.

    • Identify OS/firmware/BIOS settings affecting system-level performance and ensure test cases validate optimal configurations.

  • Tools and Ecosystem Development

    • Lead the definition of productivity tools such as automation test tools, AI benchmark tools, and performance benchmark tools.

    • Drive development of workstation value-added FW/SW functions and ecosystem features, including remote management modules and AI capabilities.

  • Strategic Initiatives

    • Define strategies for new product portfolios and applications, such as DGX.

    • Act as a technical integrator across systems, devices, applications, and ecosystems to ensure cohesive solutions.

Qualifications

  • 15+ years experience in Software/Firmware development.

  • Proven experience in firmware/software architecture for complex systems.

  • Strong understanding of Microsoft and Linux OS internals.

  • Knowledge in AI software frameworks and performance benchmarking.

  • Hands-on experience with BIOS/Manageability, firmware components, and system-level integration.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

  • Fluent in English and Mandarin.
