**Sr. Software Development Engineer - Adaptive and Embedded Group** As a **Senior Software Development Engineer**, you'll drive innovation within AMD's Adaptive and Embedded Group. Key responsibilities include: designing and developing high-performance software for AI, data centers, PCs, and embedded systems; collaborating cross-functionally to ensure software's integration with hardware; and establishing software architecture and design principles. Bring a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, along with 7+ years of experience in software development. Proven skills in C, C++, and Python are essential. Familiarity with embedded systems, Linux, and Git is required. Experience in hardware/software co-design, Python, and Agile methodologies is a plus.

THE ROLE:

We are looking for a dynamic, upbeat software engineer to join our growing team. As a key contributor you will be part of a leading team to drive and enhance AMD’s abilities to deliver the highest quality, industry-leading technologies to market.

THE PERSON:

The ideal candidate possesses an innovative and problem-solving mindset, has a keen eye for Software engineering development, and is diligent and passionate about Technology.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Validate new SW features before releasing them to customers
  • Contribute to a high-functioning feature team
  • Software Development: Develop Bare Metal firmware, drivers or tools/apps for bring-up, initialization, platform & power management of AMD-Xilinx SOCs and Boards.
  • Safety & Security: Responsible for all the phases of functional-safety (FuSa) artifacts & security best practices.
  • Collaborate closely with multiple teams to deliver key planning solutions and the technology to support them
  • Help contribute to the design and implementation of future architecture for a highly scalable, durable, and innovative system
  • Work very closely with dev teams and Project Managers to drive results
  • Continuous learning: Willingness to learn broadly on the job.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Hands-on experience in C, C++
  • Understanding of object-oriented-design principles
  • Understanding of Software Engineering principles, Data structure, algorithms, Computer Architecture, Embedded systems, Operating Systems concepts and multithread programming
  • Familiarity with Linux and modern software tools and techniques for development

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer/Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline
