**Data Engineer in Debt Management Tribe** (Vilnius): Design, build, and maintain scalable data solutions. Manage, model, and transform domain data using AWS, Databricks, and Python. Location: Vilnius, Lithuania

As a Data Engineer with data science knowledge, you will play a key role in the Debt Mart and Data Analytics Squad within the Debt Management Development Tribe.

Our squad supports Debt Management by managing, modelling and transforming domain data, as well as delivering insights that strengthen decision-making across the organisation. In this role, you will design, build and maintain scalable data solutions while also applying data science techniques where relevant to support analytics, modelling and insight generation.

You will work with technologies such as AWS, Databricks and Python to develop reliable data pipelines, improve data quality and enable advanced analytics. Experience with machine learning, statistical modelling or analytical use cases is an advantage, as you will collaborate closely with colleagues working across both engineering and data science disciplines.

You will also be part of the Data Engineers & Data Scientists chapter, a community of colleagues who share your interest in data, analytics and technology.

You will: 

  • Design, develop and implement end-to-end data solutions, including scalable data products. 
  • Optimise and automate existing data flows, pipelines and processes. 
  • Prepare high-quality data for modelling, exploratory analysis and decision support. 
  • Develop, evaluate or support analytical models, depending on your skills and interests. 
  • Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists and analysts to build advanced solutions, including machine learning models and MLOps pipelines. 
  • Translate business needs into data products, analytical solutions or models. 
  • Actively contribute to agile delivery, continuous improvement and knowledge sharing. 
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices within data governance.

 

About you: 

  • Curiosity and a genuine interest in using data to solve business problems.
  • 2+ years of experience as a data engineer, data scientist or in a similar role.
  • Strong skills in Python and SQL.
  • Understanding of data modelling, analytics, common design patterns or machine learning concepts.
  • Ability to understand both high-level data flows and detailed technical dependencies.
  • Experience with ETL, SDLC, CI/CD, automated testing or deployment best practices is an advantage.
  • Experience with Databricks, AWS, Infrastructure as Code such as Terraform or Python libraries such as pandas, NumPy or scikit-learn is an advantage.
  • Good written and spoken English, with the ability to communicate insights and solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
