About our team

 

Meet the High Risk Change & Development team. Our role is to deliver modern solutions supporting debt management and debt collection business processes.  Our team develops and maintains the solutions for these processes, operating in a BizDevOps environment.  We are developing Nordic solutions enabling the Nordic scale strategic direction.

 

This role is based in Helsinki, Finland.

 

Main responsibilities in this role:

  • Understand the business domain to effectively understand and build data flows and models supporting data needs and requirements
  • End-to-end ownership of the work from requirement to design, from development to test and release readiness
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues in and outside of the team
  • Set a high standard for what you deliver, prioritizing robustness, stability and maintainability
  • Stay current with AI assisted development and adopt AI to increase efficiency, maintainability, and reliability

 

Who you are

 

This is the right role for you if you are an experienced engineer with a passion for solving real business problems through technology.  You have an excellent ability to understand data models and data pipelines, and you combine solid technical skills with curiosity, ownership, and the ability to work independently on complex topics.

Your background and skills include:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, information technology, data engineering or relevant technical field
  • Strong experience in data engineering and data warehousing, building large-scale data solutions.
  • Comfortable taking full ownership from requirements to production
  • Strong SQL and Python skills
  • Experience with Oracle databases and DataStage ETL
  • Experience with modern data platforms (Snowflake,  dbt, Airflow)
  • Proficient in data modelling
  • Experience with enterprise API integration
  • Solid engineering practices (git, CI/CD, automated testing)
  • A growth mindset and willingness to learn

 

It would be ideal if you also have experience with:

  • Integrations to/from COTS solutions
  • AI and how AI can support development and operations in data solutions  
  • Messaging protocols such as Kafka and integrations using UC4 or Airflow
