Your key responsibilities will include:
- Designing, developing and maintaining scalable, robust data pipelines and ETL processes to support HR modernisation.
- Collaborating with stakeholders to gather data requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
- Leading the migration to cloud-based infrastructure and modernising ETL tools and processes.
Engaging in DevOps aspects of data engineering, including setting up, configuring, and maintaining infrastructure with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools.
- Ensuring data quality and governance by implementing frameworks that guarantee accuracy, consistency and compliance.
- Building and promoting best practices in data engineering while staying informed on emerging technologies.
- Driving technical innovation and contributing to the broader organisational digitalisation journey.
About you:
- Experience working with all ETL aspects as well as data integrations and data modelling.
- Significant experience with cloud platforms and its native services (AWS or DataBricks would be an advantage).
- Solid coding skills, preferably in data-friendly languages such as Python.
- Knowledge of data design patterns, including data lakehouse and data warehousing concepts.
- Proven expertise in SQL and its performance tuning.
- Proficiency in CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment) practices and utilizing Git for version control.
- Already familiar or at least eager to learn about IaC tools like Terraform.
- A commitment to staying updated with the latest advancements in data engineering, continually identifying and recommending appropriate solutions.
- Sense of ownership, readiness to adapt to dynamic settings and an analytical, problem-solving mentality to collaborate effectively within a team or with business stakeholders.
- Advanced English language skills.
- NICE TO HAVE: hands-on experience with orchestration tools for managing data workflows, business intelligence (BI) and data visualisation tools (like Tableau), APIs.
