**Software Engineer (Trade Systems)** responsibilities include designing, implementing, and evolving scalable, distributed trade booking, reconciliation, and reporting systems in microservices architecture. Core tasks involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless multi-asset class (equities, swaps, futures, FX) processing. Proven experience (5-10 years) in Java programming and AWS cloud services (EKS, S3) is required.
The Department:
Join the team that is responsible for designing, implementing & continuously evolving trade capture & middle office systems in our new fully systematic trading booking platform. The engineering team will work closely with trading tech, portfolio finance & middle office operations teams in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate must possess strong knowledge & experience of designing & implementing distributed and scalable multi-asset class (equities, swaps, futures & fx) trade booking, reconciliation and reporting systems using microservices architecture.
The engineering team is part of systematic technology group responsible to design, implement and evolve systems required to enable the real time trade booking, t0/t1 reconciliations & reporting.
MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE:
- Design, develop and evolve highly scalable & reliable trade processing, reconciliation & reporting platform.
WORK EXPERIENCE/BACKGROUND /TECHNICAL/BUSINESS SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:

- 5-10 years of Java programming experience
- Experience working with AWS cloud (EKS, S3)
- Experience working with Kafka messaging
- Experience working with relational databases such as SQL server & Postgres
- Experience working with Spring Boot
- Experience with CI/CD methodologies (GitHub) and container-based packaging & deployment
- BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline
- Self-motivated, proactive
- Ability to perform well under pressure
- Enthusiastic, flexible and adaptable
- Ability to work effectively independently as well as part of a team
- Good interpersonal skills
- Strong communication, problem solving & analytical skills
- Extensive experience designing and building trade processing & reporting systems
- Experience with Agile & TDD software development methodologies and a strong philosophy around automated test coverage
- Knowledge of financial products equity, swaps, futures & fx
- Experience working with NoSQL database Mongo DB
- Experience working with Apache Flink
