You'll join our External Credit Data squad, which is a critical domain supporting Danske Bank's vision for credit processing with reliable data and compliance. We are in the process of building the modernised future platform – utilising modern technologies to manage external credit data from different vendors and provide seamless user-friendly services to access the data for all kind of business purposes across the whole bank.
Lead with purpose and drive the future proof development
As a people leader, you will:
- Lead and develop a chapter of software engineers, supporting their professional growth and career aspirations
- Build the high-performance teams with close collaboration with product owners and architects, as well as your other chapter lead peers
- Drive engineering excellence through technical mentoring, design reviews, code reviews, and knowledge sharing, and promote modern practices including automation, AI-assisted development, continuous delivery and product development lifecycle
- Attract, develop, and retain talented engineers in collaboration with Tribe and Engineering leadership
- Bridge the solution modernization and contribute to target architecture and strategic technology decisions and help shape the future engineering direction of the tribe
As a squad member in day-to-day work, you will:
- Collaborate closely with other both product owners, business analysts, architects and other software engineers across different locations sites:
- Work mainly with Java, Spring framework stack and drive the modernization from existing legacy mainframe solutions
- Analyze, develop, review, test, deploy, maintain and support our solutions (including quality, security, infrastructure, scalability) with a full product lifecycle mindset
Are you the one for the challenge?
- Strong software engineering background with several years of experience in modern cloud application development
- Solid understanding of design principles and architectural patterns, and essential Java ecosystem knowledge (common frameworks/libraries, build tools and practices)
- Familiar with product lifecycle and care about quality, maintainability, automation, and long-term sustainability
- Ability to navigate change and drive continuous improvement, curious to understand the root problem with tech agnostic mindset and embrace solutions of both new tech and legacy tech
- Experience with agile development methodologies and cross-functional collaboration, as well as cross location/culture teams
- Comfortable taking technical ownership and guiding others in technical decisions with comprehensive arguments and trade-offs
- A servant leadership mindset - passionate about developing people, empowering talents and cultivating performing organisations
- Natural interest in technology, open to knowing our existing legacy solutions, challenging and fixing areas, and gathering business and domain understanding
- Good English and communications skills for conveying smooth and clear understandable messages for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Previous people leadership experience, including coaching, mentoring, or managing engineers is a plus.
Key opportunities and benefits
Monthly salary ranges from 4960 EUR to 7440 EUR gross (based on your competencies relevant for the job).
