**Advanced Machinery Engineer (5+ Years' Experience)** Lead complex troubleshooting, analyze failures and optimize machinery performance. Provide technical support across the lifecycle of machinery. Review engineering deliverables, ensuring adherence to standards. Support reliability programs, incident investigations, and maintenance practices. Monitor equipment performance and drive improvements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and mentor junior engineers. Uphold SSHE standards. Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Process Engineering and a minimum of 5 years' experience. Proficient in reliability engineering principles, failure analysis tools, and project management software.

Job Role Responsibilities

What You Will Do

  • Lead troubleshooting, failure analysis, root cause investigations, and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Provide technical support for machinery design, specification, configuration, testing, commissioning, start-up, operation, and maintenance.
  • Review engineering deliverables, technical standards, procedures, and equipment requirements.
  • Support reliability programs, risk assessments, incident investigations, bad actor elimination, and risk-based maintenance practices.
  • Monitor equipment performance and implement improvements to reliability, availability, maintainability, and efficiency.
  • Support Management of Change, equipment modifications, upgrades, and new installations.
  • Collaborate with operations, maintenance, project teams, contractors, vendors, and technical networks.
  • Mentor less-experienced engineers and share best practices across the organization.
  • Uphold SSHE standards and support safe, reliable plant operations.

 

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, Process Equipment Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in rotating equipment within petrochemical, refining, Oil & Gas, chemical manufacturing, or design institute environments.
  • Advanced competency in chemical rotating equipment, including compressors, pumps, turbines, fans, mixers and related field facilities.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Effective team player with the ability to influence and collaborate across functions.
  • Ability to communicate in English for work-related discussions and documentation.

Preferred Experience

  • Knowledge of engineering specifications, industry standards, country-specific regulations, and local codes.
  • Experience in commissioning, start-up, maintenance, troubleshooting, reliability improvement, or project execution.
  • Experience mentoring junior engineers or leading technical workstreams.
