**Role: AP Analyst - Japan, Retail Finance Operations** **Support** Japan Retail's AP invoice processing and payment resolution, collaborating cross-functionally with teams like Japan Retail BP, finance, FOAA, and AP Payment. **Manage** financial systems, **ensure** accurate invoice processing, and **drive** continuous process enhancements while **focused** on risk control. **Key Responsibilities:** - Support daily operations for on-time, accurate Japan Retail vendor communications. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams for accurate, timely Japan Retail vendor payments. - Contribute to operational projects, enhancing vendor experience and efficiency. - Analyze invoice data and generate operational reports. - Tackle additional tasks as assigned by the manager. **Requirements:** - **Bachelor's degree** in accounting or commerce. - **Proficient** in Excel and Microsoft Office. - **Fluent** in Japanese (read, write, speak). - **Experience** with financial systems and invoice processing procedures preferred.
This position will corporate with the stakeholder teams including Japan Retail BP, business, finance, FOAA, AP Payment team, etc, to support on-time and accurate Japan Retail AP invoice processing and payment issue resolution.
This position is expected to be familiar with the financial systems and invoice processing procedures, with mindset on risk control. This role should be able to drive the continuous process improvement and enhance vendor experience.
Job Summary：
1. Support daily operations to ensure accurate and on-time Finance communication with JP Retail vendors.
2. Partner cross-functional with AP payment, Japan Retail BP, JP Retail business, business Finance, JP Retail invoice processing, JP Retail AR, FOAA, VPS team, etc to ensure JP retail vendor payments are processed accurately and on time.
3. Participate in projects that contribute to operational efficiency improvement and vendor experience enhancement.
4. Support invoice data analysis and operational reporting.
5. Other tasks assigned by the manager.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting and commerce (B. Com)- Knowledge of Excel at an advanced level
- Experience with Microsoft Office products and applications
- Speak, write, and read fluently in Japanese
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of finance operations/shared services, accounts payable, account receivable (collections) or general ledger experience- Speak, write, and read fluently in English
- Experience using Oracle, or experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
- Experience dealing effectively with customers during problem resolution and operating efficiently under pressure
