**Develop Next-Gen Anode Materials as our Application Development Engineer.** Lead research (fundamental & applied), drive product development, and collaborate cross-functionally (R&D, Process, Manufacturing) in our Products Technology group. Manage projects independently, solve problems effectively, and communicate insights to stakeholders. Bring 5+ years of experience in anodes, EES, and relevant tools (e.g., MATLAB, ANSYS).

Job Role Description
- Conduct both fundamental and applied research supporting product development activities
- Work closely with other functions including research, process engineering, manufacturing, and interfacing with market-facing functions
- Develop new products for broad market applications
- Solve problems independently
- Acquire a strong working knowledge of technology fundamentals for their assigned areas
This role is expected to effectively collaborate, interact, and communicate with partners. The Advanced Polymer Product Development Technologist will start developing key leadership skills to facilitate the transition from an individual contributor to a technical leader
Job Role Responsibilities
- Provides technical leadership and quality assurance for research and research application deliverables
Technical Knowledge Development: Develops fundamental understanding of polymer product structure-property relationships
Collaboration and Networking: Strong interface with ExxonMobil Product Solutions, regional business teams, manufacturing, and supporting technology capability organizations. Participates in internal networks to disseminate capabilities for the benefit of others
Cross-Functional Opportunities: Utilizes depth and / or breadth of experience to identify cross-functional business opportunities
Intellectual Property Support: Supports IP teams
Competitive Intelligence: Maintains an overview of competitive products
Training: Trains early career colleagues using existing training packages
