**Senior Staff Engineer - RTL-to-GDS (RTL2GDS) Application Specialist** Leading semiconductor company Synopsys seeks a Senior Staff Engineer specializing in RTL-to-GDS (RTL2GDS) applications. In this role, you'll drive innovation and collaboration in silicon design and verification. Key responsibilities include: - Developing and deploying RTL2GDS flows and tools - Supporting customers and internal teams in adopting and optimizing these flows - Staying current with advancements in EDA tools and design technologies, e.g., physical design, placement, routing, and signoff - Contributing to strategic roadmap development and product definition Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, with 10+ years of experience in semiconductor or EDA industry. A strong background in RTL-to-GDS flows, design and verification tools, such as Cadence, Synopsys (IC Compiler, signoff tools), and Calibre, is required. Proven experience in customer-facing roles and exceptional communication skills are essential for success.

What You’ll Be Doing:
- Providing expert technical guidance and engineering insight to support Synopsys product adoption and usability for leading semiconductor customers.
- Diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving complex technical issues during customer installations and deployments.
- Training customers on new implementations, features, and capabilities of Synopsys RTL2GDS full flow solutions.
- Reviewing feedback from customers and application partners to identify enhancement opportunities and collaborating with R&D for product improvements.
- Partnering with sales and customer technical managers to identify business challenges and architect effective technical solutions for new and existing accounts.
- Supporting the technical roadmap by validating specifications and ensuring alignment with cutting-edge silicon design methodologies.

What You’ll Need:
- Extensive experience with RTL to GDSII full flow and advanced node design methodologies.
- Hands-on proficiency with synthesis, physical design, static timing analysis, equivalence checking, parasitic extraction, DRC/LVS, and power analysis.
- Strong scripting skills in Perl, Tcl, and Python; familiarity with CAD automation methods.
- Tool expertise: Design Compiler, ICC2, Fusion Compiler, Genus, Innovus; familiarity with STA (Primetime, Tempus), IR drop analysis (Redhawk, Voltus), Extraction (Star-RCXT, Quantus), Formal verification (Formality, Conformal).
- BSEE (or equivalent) with 10+ years of relevant experience, or MSEE (or equivalent) with 8+ years in Synthesis & Place & Route.
