**Assistant Vice President Singapore - Banking (Macau Focus): Manage high-value client portfolios, drive business growth, originate new clients, and ensure credit risk management. We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Assistant Vice President

In this role you will:

  • Manage a portfolio of inbound GNB relationships in Macau, focusing on revenue growth, business development and risk management.
  • Originate and develop new GNB clients, with emphasis on cross-border opportunities between Macau and other countries.
  • Maximise relationship returns through strong account planning, disciplined sales/service execution, and wallet-share deepening for borrowing and non-borrowing customers.
  • Deliver client solutions by partnering closely with product teams, with key focus on Transactional Banking (GPS/GTS/MSS), Global Liquidity and Cash Management, Global Trade and Receivable Finance, Global Markets.
  • Maintain effective stakeholder management, including coordination with overseas HSBC Global Relationship Managers and key internal/external partners.
  • Apply credit and industry expertise to support sound lending decisions, ongoing monitoring, and portfolio quality.
  • Ensure compliance with Global Standards and local regulations, including GS-CDD/CDD, and uphold strong Financial Crime Risk controls across onboarding and ongoing relationship management.

To be successful you will need:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above; an Accounting or Finance degree is preferred.
  • Strong customer-centric mindset, with 2–3 years’ banking experience in wholesale banking (front-line or client-facing support experience preferred).
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver outcomes, with a solid foundation in banking products and services and a willingness to broaden product knowledge.
  • Good command of English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with internal stakeholders and clients.
