Position Overview

Details of the Division and Team
Financial and Regulatory Reporting is responsible for the timely and accurate delivery of complete and comprehensive financial and regulatory reporting and analysis, in line with applicable internal policies and external regulatory, statutory and control frameworks. The team will cover:

  • Managing accounting and financial risk and providing advice and guidance on strategic initiatives (driven by internal policies and/or external regulation) and new products that impact the entities /processes /utilities with their remit

  • Collaborating with relevant stakeholders to provide comprehensive financial reporting and analysis

  • Developing innovative business solutions and providing strategic advice and guidance to support the execution of business strategy, mitigation of risks and achievement of the bank’s/regions’/Division’s objectives

Your key responsibilities

The purpose of this role is to efficiently deliver Financial Reporting, manage Financial Resources / Risk & Control through the most advance innovation tools and simplest processes.

  • Budget planning, Performance review, Regulatory reporting

  • Financial analysis to facilitate business performance monitoring and cost management

  • Work with business and infrastructure partners to deliver values to the bank

  • Ensure minimum Risk & Control is working effectively

  • Interpretation of regulatory reporting rules

  • Deliver results on projects and initiatives

Your skills and experience

  • 15 years+ post qualified experience in a Finance, Control or other Analytical area within a financial institution.

  • Hands-on experience on local regulatory reporting / dealing with regulator

  • Good working knowledge in managing process and validation

  • Good Chinese and English writing to identifying issues and problem solving

  • Data and Technology experience is a plus

  • Financial control and leadership

  • Project management to lead changes on process, systems, people, solution, sourcing

  • AI Automation & streamline the process

  • Interpreting local regulatory rules and market practices

  • Strategic thinking and realization

  • Business judgment and acumen

  • Team work

  • Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, optimize workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs
