The position

Glencore Peru is seeking a pre-professional or professional intern to support the commercial team at Lima, conducting administrative duties related to the administration of purchase and sale contracts of mineral concentrates.  This position offers you an opportunity to develop into a dynamic, entrepreneurial and performance-driven environment, looking after the smooth coordination with suppliers, service providers, people in other departments and main office.

Responsibilities

Support the commercial team in:

  • Execution of the purchase/sale contracts of mineral concentrates.  Written and verbal contact with suppliers, service providers and customers.
  • Co-ordinating the reception and shipment of the concentrates with suppliers and warehouse.
  • Coordination with surveyor companies and laboratories for inspection, sampling, assaying of the different materials.
  • Checking and calculating concentrates values and arranging payments in coordination with accounting and finance departments.
  • Handling data entry in the ERP and periodical reporting.
  • Improving processes and procedures to maximize efficiency.

Requirements

  • Advanced university students (8th to 10th semester) or recently graduate with degree in international trade, business administration, economics, industrial engineer or another relevant field.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English.  Any further language is an asset.
  • Excellent written and strong social communications skills.
  • Good know-how in using IT applications (e.g. MS Office).
  • Strong numerical skills and logical thinking.

  • is highly organized with a strong ability to prioritize across multiple deliverables in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines.
