**Corporate Banking Manager:** Lead strategic client relationships, originate transactions, and drive revenue in multinational corporates. We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team.

In this role, you will:

• Drive inbound revenue by originating and deepening relationships with multinational corporations investing and expanding into mainland China.
• Take end-to-end ownership of the assigned portfolio within the Global Network Banking unit of Corporate & Institutional Banking unit of Corporate & Institutional Banking (CIB) in China. Under the guidance of ling manager, assume responsibility for strategy execution, P&L and balance sheet management, funding, liquidity, risk control, and performance delivery, operating within the Group's defined risk appetite and strategic framework.
• Act as the primary liaison for key overseas sites, facilitating the onboarding and banking support for global clients entering the China market. Champion the Global Network Banking proposition by coordinating with international HSBC teams to capture Foreign Direct Investment opportunities.
• Formulate and execute business strategies to acquire new-to-bank overseas corporations with presence in China, while broaden existing relationships with multinational subsidiaries in China to ensure sustainable growth and support the Group's ambition to scale the CIB Banking franchise.
• Collaborate closely with global/regional/Local product partners and Banking leaders to ensure a coordinated approach in targeting inbound investors, with a clear focus on maximizing business opportunities and returns.
• Deliver best-in-class client experience to multinational corporations entering China, ensuring their cross-border banking needs are fully understood and met through strategic and complex financial solutions.
• Maintain high-quality credit standards across the portfolio, safeguard the Bank against potential losses, uphold portfolio integrity, ensure full regulatory compliance, and mitigate operational, credit and other risks.
• Achieve assigned key performance indicators, including revenue target, profitability, asset and liability balances, and Return on Risk Weighted Assets (RORWA).
• Ultimately accountable for the risk profile of the assigned Global Network Banking portfolio, acting as the first line of defend in managing credit, compliance and financial crime risks.

To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:

• Proven track record of progressive business development, sales, and credit experience or equivalent.
• Extensive knowledge of, and proven business success with, banking products and services. Good knowledge of world class standards across the industry.
• Possesses an entrepreneurial spirit and growth mindset; optimises commercial opportunities to enhance value and returns; strong negotiation skills
• Strong navigating skills including understanding of the strategic direction, ability of translating strategy into action, aligning and prioritising direction for self and team.
• Relationship management experience.
• Strong client engagement skills.
• Understanding and experience with managing Multinational Corporates.
• Strong strategic thinking, and organisational, analytical, negotiation, and influencing skills. A team player.
• Excellent spoken and written English skill. Proficient in other languages will be an advantage.
• Progressive banking experience, preferably within corporate banking or multinational corporate coverage.
