Purpose of Role:
Marex is seeking an Equity Operations Associate who will be part of a team responsible for two primary business lines – Equity & Options Brokerage and Equity Prime Brokerage.
Marex has unique access across markets with significant share globally both on and off exchange. The depth of knowledge amongst its teams and divisions provides its customers with clear advantage, and its technology-led service provides access to all major exchanges, order-flow management via screen, voice and DMA, plus award-winning data, insights and analytics.
Operations is first and foremost a control function. As such the Equity Trade Support team must ensure controls are followed and always evaluated for improvement. The staff will be expected to work on both the daily work as well as putting in place the framework for any new products or initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Provide daily middle-office support for U.S. equity and options trading activity
- Work closely with the Broadridge team to identify and clear breaks
- Review and validate trade capture and ensure trades are accurately reflected in the firm’s systems
- Monitor the trade lifecycle from execution through confirmation, affirmation, settlement, and reconciliation
- Investigate trade breaks, unmatched trades, incorrect settlement instructions, and other exceptions
- Perform EOD Options CMTA allocations
- Coordinate with traders, sales personnel, clearing firms, counterparties, and custodians to resolve trade discrepancies
- Perform post trade allocations via CTM and NYFIX Match
- Support DVP/RVP, free delivery, and other applicable settlement activity
- Monitor failed trades and coordinate resolution with the appropriate internal and external parties
- Assist with corporate actions and other events affecting equity positions and transactions
- Perform End of Day checkouts or reconciliations for various products or trade flows.
- Adhere to and propose improvements to control framework for the support of the business
- Perform and evidence the performance of daily controls
- Ensuring compliance with the company’s regulatory requirements under the SEC, FINRA, NFA, CFTC and other applicable exchanges
- Adhere to the operational risk framework for your role ensuring that all regulatory or company determined parameters are complied with
- Role model for demonstrating highest level standards of integrity and conduct and reflecting Company Values

Skills and Experience
- At least (1-5) One to five years’ experience in a Financial Institution required.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business, or related field
- FINRA Series 99 strongly preferred
- Experience supporting Equities and/or Options required
- Experience with DTC/NSCC and OCC
- Working knowledge of Broadridge BPS strongly preferred
- Experience supporting Equities/Options
- Understanding of trade life cycle events strongly preferred
- Ability to document procedures and controls
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience working in a regulated environment and knowledge of the risk and compliance requirements associated with this.
Salary Range: $75,000 to $100,000 per year plus discretionary bonus
