**Equity Research Associate, European Financials:** Analyze listed hedge funds, asset managers, and investment firms for a top global London-based investment bank. Write equity research reports, engage with clients (hedge funds, asset managers), build financial models, and conduct valuations. Essential skills include commercial/business financial analysis, excellent written English, and clear communication of complex investment ideas. Ideal candidates should have experience as equity/corporate analysts, or similar backgrounds.
We are currently working with a top global investment bank in London. They have one of the best names for sell side research of any firm, and are now looking to add a sell side equity research associate to their Diversified Financials equity research team.
The focus of the role will be to research listed hedge funds, asset managers and investment firms. The aim of the role will be to write pieces of equity research on these firms and market your investment ideas to your clients who will be asset managers and hedge funds.
Day to day this will involve:
– writing the research
– speaking with investors
– speaking with the management of companies you analyze
– building financial models and updating them
– valuations and analysis
– monitoring newsflow
The position requires excellent commercial, business and financial analytical skills; excellent written English, and the ability to communicate complicated and difficult concepts and investment recommendations to clients in a succinct way.
