Job Description:              

The successful candidate will work on a variety of legal matters relating to hedge fund, hybrid fund and fund of hedge fund investing and structuring.  Primary job responsibilities will include:

  • Structuring, negotiation, and formation of BXMA’s commingled and customized funds and portfolio investments.

  • Substantial interaction with BXMA internal business groups (investment, accounting, operations, investor relations) and external clients.

  • Management of external counsel.

  • Negotiation and review of various legal documentation.

  • Ongoing review of industry and regulatory developments to assess any relevant information or risks to BXMA’s business.                                       

Qualifications: 

  • J.D. degree required.

  • Candidates should possess a minimum of six (6) full years of law firm and/or in-house private investment fund work experience.

  • The successful candidate should have strong drafting, communication, and organizational skills, as well as demonstrated experience in interpreting legal and business terms.

Expected annual base salary range:

$165,000 - $250,000

Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location. For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables.

Additional compensation and benefits offered in connection with the role consist of comprehensive health benefits, including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, and FSA benefits; paid time off; life insurance; 401(k) plan; and discretionary bonuses. Certain employees may also be eligible for equity and other incentive compensation at Blackstone’s sole discretion.
