The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a Maintenance Supervisor - Mobile to join our Glencore Sudbury Integrated Nickel Operations.

The position will be based in Greater Sudbury (Onaping), Ontario.

This is a full-time, permanent, staff position.

Range of Pay: $119,000 to $133,000 (includes annual variable compensation bonus).

This position is being posted to fill an existing vacancy.

Work location is not accessible by public transportation.

Duties and Accountabilities: 

Reporting to the Maintenance GF, the Mine Maintenance Supervisor - Mobile is accountable for the supervision of trades personnel (HDEMs) so that budgetary targets are met or exceeded regarding safety and health, production, metallurgical and quality performance, operating economics, environmental compliance, and productivity. This involves close communication and coordination with fellow reports and relies heavily upon the incumbent providing leadership and technical expertise to subordinates.

The incumbent must possess excellent leadership abilities, communication and organizational skills with the ability to manage a variety of functions simultaneously.

Your personal commitment to health, safety, training, and continuous improvement will be the key to your success in this role.

Education and Skills

This position requires the completion of a Heavy Equipment Mechanic or related trades certification and a minimum of 3 to 5 years of mechanical maintenance experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A degree in mechanical engineering or related field would be considered an asset. The successful candidate posses strong operational and mechanical background, along with well-developed organizational, motivational, and leadership skills. This role requires underground field supervision, underground experience is required.
