Job Summary

  • We are seeking a motivated engineer to join our HP Inkjet Operations team in Thailand.

  • This role offers a unique opportunity to support Inkjet printer manufacturing operations, new product launches, process improvement, cost reduction, and product issue resolution in a dynamic factory environment.

  • The candidate will work closely with local manufacturing and quality teams, the Singapore engineering team, R&D labs, suppliers, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure smooth factory execution and successful product delivery to worldwide markets.

  • This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys solving real manufacturing problems, working across teams, and making practical improvements that impact product quality, factory efficiency, launch readiness, and cost competitiveness.

  • We are looking for someone with drive, curiosity, motivation, and a strong willingness to learn.

  • A strong growth mindset, positive attitude, and eagerness to learn and contribute are more important than meeting all of the listed requirements.


Responsibilities

  • Provide product and process engineering support for Inkjet printer manufacturing operations.

  • Support new product introduction activities, including pilot builds, engineering builds, production ramp, manufacturing readiness, and issue closure.

  • Troubleshoot manufacturing and product issues by working with production, quality, Singapore engineering, R&D Labs, suppliers, and other stakeholders.

  • Collect and analyse factory data, production observations, samples, and failure information to support root cause analysis and corrective actions.

  • Drive process improvement activities to improve product quality, yield, cycle time, manufacturing efficiency, production throughput, and overall factory performance.

  • Support cost reduction initiatives through improving manufacturing process efficiency, material usage optimization, automation, tooling/test optimization, and yield improvement.

  • Support part/product qualification activities to avoid or mitigate product shipment risks due to quality or assurance-of-supply issues.

  • Coordinate issue communication, status updates, action plans, and technical summaries across local and regional teams.

  • Support validation of engineering fixes, process changes, product design updates, and manufacturing improvements.

  • Contribute to Future Ready transformation initiatives, including opportunities to apply AI, machine learning, automation, and data analytics to improve manufacturing engineering productivity and decision-making


Education & Experience Recommended

  • We are looking for a high performer with the following qualifications.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or equivalent.

  • Typically has 1–2 years of relevant work experience in manufacturing engineering, process engineering, product engineering, quality engineering, factory support, or a related field is an advantage.

  • Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.

  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Basic understanding of mechanical systems, manufacturing processes, product assembly, production troubleshooting, and process improvement.

  • Able to work effectively in a factory environment and collaborate with production, quality, engineering, supplier, and cross-site teams.

  • Strong English communication, both verbal and written, and good interpersonal skills.

  • Experience with 3D CAD software, statistical analysis, data visualization, programming, AI/ML tools, or automation will be an added advantage.

  • Interest in Lean Six Sigma, continuous improvement, and data-driven problem solving. As the candidate progresses in the organization, there may be opportunities to develop toward Black Belt capability.
