Meet the Team
Operations and Middle Office is one of the largest departments at Millennium. Core post-trade operations for futures, currencies (FX), and commodities. In practice, this is the operational backbone that supports trading in these asset classes — handling the lifecycle of trades after they're executed. Based on the team's makeup, this covers areas like trade capture and reconciliation, clearing/settlement, and futures/FX operational processing. We are seeking an experienced T+1 Reconciliation Specialist with 8+ years of experience in Exchange Traded Derivatives (ETD) operations, with a strong focus on Futures & Options across ASIA, EMEA, and NAM markets. This role is ideal for someone with deep expertise in T0 / T+1 clearing operations, reconciliation controls, and break resolution across Trade, Position, Cash, and Commission. If this sounds like an exciting next step in your career, we would love to hear from you!
What You'll Do
Manage and oversee T+1 reconciliation processes across ASIA, EMEA, and NAM exchanges. Perform detailed reconciliation and investigation across Trade, Position, Cash, and Commission, with a strong understanding of cash adjustments and position transfers (both internal and external).
Apply in-depth knowledge of ETD products, especially Futures and Options, including exchange-specific rules, product specifications, and operational workflows across EMEA and NAM markets.
Demonstrate strong understanding of Give-In / Give-Up processes, exchange submission timelines, clearing and trading cut-offs, and T0 / T+1 position close-out requirements to ensure books remain aligned with the exchange.
Investigate reconciliation breaks, perform root cause analysis, and drive remediation through static updates, process improvements, or system enhancements.
Lead the investigation and resolution of complex breaks with internal teams and external counterparties. Manage reconciliation relationships and issue resolution with Prime Brokers, Custodians, Clearing Members, and Fund Administrators.
Identify recurring issues and exception trends, and drive process improvements to reduce operational noise and improve control efficiency.
Own and produce reporting around match rates, aged breaks, root causes, and team KPIs. Partner closely with Technology teams to identify automation opportunities and implement sustainable solutions.
Continuously improve controls, reduce manual intervention, and enhance process scalability and resilience.
What You Bring
8+ years of relevant experience in ETD reconciliations, settlements, or clearing operations, with a strong understanding of Trade, Position, Cash, and Commission reconciliation.
Strong practical knowledge of cash adjustments and how to align books between Executing Brokers, Clearing Brokers, and internal systems.
Deep understanding of global futures and options operations across ASIA, EMEA, and NAM.
Work across systems and platforms such as Exchange GUIs, ClearVision, FISCD, GMI, FIA Docs, Atlantis, and related reconciliation tools.
Good knowledge of exchange fee schedules, EGUS / Give-Up Agreements, regulatory fees, rebates, and membership concepts.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and investigative skills.
Excellent attention to detail with a strong control mindset.
Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and manage multiple issues under time pressure. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively across regional teams and external counterparties.
