Murrin Murrin Operations has an opportunity for a Senior Contracts Advisor to join our established and dedicated team.

Murrin Murrin Operations is Australia’s largest cobalt producer and a major world producer of nickel. Our Murrin Murrin site in WA’s northern Goldfields is an integrated nickel and cobalt mining and processing operation employing over 1,000 people. The Role

The successful candidate will become a member of a hardworking and committed team who is responsible for leading sourcing, tendering, negotiation, and contract management activities supporting capital projects across Glencore Metals Australia.

You will be responsible for:
  • Lead sourcing, tendering, evaluation, negotiation, contract award, and contract administration activities for assigned project packages.
  • Provide commercial advice and lead commercial evaluations to optimise value, manage risk, and support project delivery objectives.
  • Manage complex engineering, construction, equipment supply, and service contracts throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Act as a trusted commercial advisor to project managers, engineers, and business stakeholders, influencing procurement and contracting outcomes.
  • Lead commercial and contractual negotiations with suppliers and contractors to deliver sustainable project outcomes

About You


Reporting directly to the Superintendent – Category Management this role would suit a detailed and process oriented person. 

You will also have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Construction Management, Law, Project Management, or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years' experience in procurement, contracts, or commercial roles supporting capital projects.
  • Strong knowledge of project procurement, contract management, and commercial principles.
  • Experience developing and implementing procurement and contracting strategies for capital projects.
  • Experience supporting sustaining capital, brownfield, greenfield, infrastructure, mining, processing plant, or construction projects.
  • Strong commercial acumen, including contract negotiation, contractor management, risk allocation, and value delivery.
  • Experience managing competitive tender processes and complex contract negotiations.
