Are you ready to unlock intelligence?

If you don’t think you meet all of the criteria below but are still interested in the job, please apply. Nobody checks every box - we’re looking for candidates that are particularly strong in a few areas, and have some interest and capabilities in others.

About the Role:

Kong's Marketing Operations team is the operational backbone of the go-to-market engine. This role is built around execution, but it doesn't stop there. You'll own the day-to-day intake queue, turning marketer requests into clean, accurate, on-time programs in Marketo. And you'll bring enough curiosity and systems thinking to spot what's inefficient, broken, or worth automating, and say something about it.

You'll work closely with a globally distributed team supporting the systems, processes, and data infrastructure that connect marketing activity to pipeline.

What You'll Do:

  • Build, QA, and send emails in Marketo from intake requests: template setup, token population, smart list configuration, scheduling, and send confirmation

  • Process list imports end-to-end: field normalization, deduplication checks, schema mapping, and load validation against Salesforce

  • Build audience segments and smart lists for campaign targeting based on marketer-provided criteria; validate logic before use and flag coverage gaps

  • Maintain lead flow integrity for records touching your work: lifecycle stage accuracy, routing correctness, and Marketo-SFDC sync health

  • Handle operational workflows including suppression list updates, unsubscribe management, and compliance record corrections

  • Identify recurring patterns in the intake queue and propose process improvements or automation before someone has to ask twice

  • Document execution workflows and build repeatable checklists so output quality stays consistent at volume

  • Stay current on marketing automation capabilities and adjacent GTM tooling; bring ideas back and pressure-test them against real use cases

What You'll Bring:

  • 4-6+ years in marketing operations, revenue operations, or a GTM systems role

  • Strong hands-on Marketo experience: email execution, smart lists, tokens, program architecture, and troubleshooting

  • Working knowledge of Salesforce: enough to validate sync behavior, catch attribution gaps, and escalate when something doesn't land correctly

  • Comfort with data: list hygiene, field normalization, deduplication logic, and compliance requirements (GDPR, CAN-SPAM)

  • A process improvement instinct: you see how something works and immediately think about how it could work better

  • High accuracy and attention to detail; you QA your own work before it goes live and own the fix when it doesn't

  • Ability to manage a queue of concurrent requests, prioritize effectively, and communicate proactively when something is blocked

  • Comfortable working autonomously and asynchronously with a globally distributed team

Nice to have:

  • Experience with HTML email editing

  • Hands-on experience with GTM orchestration or workflow automation tools such as Clay, Zapier, or similar

  • Familiarity with data platforms like Snowflake or BI tools like Tableau

  • Exposure to lead scoring models and attribution methodology

  • Background in B2B SaaS or a technical product environment

What we're looking for beyond the resume:

Someone who takes pride in execution quality and doesn't let a request go out the door with a broken link or the wrong segment. Who also notices when the same type of request comes in for the tenth time and asks whether it should be automated instead. The work is high-volume and detail-intensive, and the best person in this role will do it well while quietly making it easier for everyone around them.
