The Role

The SerDes IP support role to the Server team. The right candidate needs to have a basic understanding of SerDes architecture, equalization principle, and characterization techniques. The candidate also needs to have experience in system level channel design, trade-offs factors for robust link performance in terms of SI/PI.

KEY Requirements

  • Working between the SerDes IP team and the Server product team
  • Capable of running IBIS-AMI model link level simulations
  • Understanding PCIe specifications of different generations
  • Familiarity with Matlab, C/C++ programming, Python
  • Experience with lab equipment for high-speed digital systems
  • Good background of statistics and signal processing
  • Good understanding of SI/PI basics for high-speed serial links
  • Having the skillset of PCB design
  • Efficient in analyzing results and making decisions and recommendations
  • Excellent technical communication skills (presentations and documentation)
  • Team player
