Amazon Leo is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband network connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world — from individual households to schools, hospitals, businesses, and government agencies.

Key job responsibilities
- Design and Implement Telecom Components, Applications and Services
- Partner with the Satellite, Networks and Security engineering teams
- Design components, services, and relevant data models

Have you wanted an opportunity to develop the software applications and services for an advanced global telecom service? This role is for a Software Development Engineer who will design, build, and maintain components and services of Amazon Leo's Network Observability and AI foundations team.

About the team
Our team owns developing the architecture, solutions & roadmap for managing the network observabillity, AI Foundations and Software defined network services for Amazon Leo's connectivity services for all customer cohorts.

Basic Qualifications

- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Preferred Qualifications

- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
