About the Role:

The Talent Scout / Host identifies, secures, and hosts top-tier talent for The Trust at The Wall Street Journal—bringing WSJ-level credibility, warmth, and authority to live and filmed experiences. This role requires 12+ years of experience across talent booking, interviewing, hosting, or programming within media, events, or branded content environments.

You Will:

  • Source and cultivate relationships with creators, executives, cultural leaders, and category experts, with a focus on C-suite and high-profile talent.

  • Lead outreach, pitching, negotiation, and deal-making in partnership with internal stakeholders.

  • Host and moderate onstage and on-camera conversations, delivering thoughtful, well-paced discussions aligned with audience and brand objectives.

  • Prepare detailed briefs, interview questions, and run-of-show materials to ensure seamless execution.

  • Manage logistics including scheduling, talent prep, approvals, and coordination across teams.

  • Uphold the premium editorial standards, authority, and professionalism associated with WSJ.

You Have:

  • 10+ years of experience in talent booking, hosting, interviewing, or programming across media, live events, or branded content.

  • Proven network with access to senior executives, cultural leaders, and industry influencers.

  • Exceptional live interviewing and moderation skills, with strong editorial judgment.

  • Comfort engaging high-profile and C-suite talent in both live and filmed settings.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and timelines.

  • Polished, credible on-camera and onstage presence aligned with a premium media brand.

Base Pay Range: $165,000 - $190,000

We’re committed to offering competitive and flexible compensation to attract top talent. This pay range reflects our good faith estimate for the role and may vary based on a candidate’s experience, skills, location, and other relevant factors.

For bonus-eligible roles, targets are determined based on multiple considerations, including market benchmarks and individual contributions.
