**Role: Project Finance Analyst (Renewable Energy)** Support our expanding Americas team in building a specialized finance business. Ideal candidate offers 2-5 years of relevant experience in finance or consulting, with a bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related field.   • The Project Finance Analyst is a key member of the growing Project Finance Americas team, responsible for helping to build a specialized sector financing business by structuring and executing prudent and profitable renewable energy project financing transactions and developing a high-quality client base. The PF Analyst will have exposure to a broad range of technologies (e.g. solar, wind, battery, Data Centers) as well as transaction structures (e.g. traditional project finance, equipment finance and portfolio financing). As an Analyst - Project Finance you will be successful by sourcing, reviewing and executing finance opportunities with market leading renewable energy players in the Energy Transition to help decarbonize the economy.

An Analyst on the Rabobank North America Project Finance team will provide critical support to build relationships with leading developers, manufacturers and investors in the renewable energy and energy transition sectors. These relationships are built by a PF Analysts through development of expertise in renewable technologies, market dynamics and government incentives and use this expertise to structure financial solutions that help our clients to build and deploy their decarbonization projects.

Job Responsibilities

  • Evaluate financial models for renewable energy projects and other project finance transactions
  • Understand key financing risks and recommending mitigants to alleviate such risks
  • Review key project documents, including Power Purchase Agreements or Engineering, Procurement, and Construction Agreements
  • Review financing agreements
  • Assess transmission, market, independent engineering, appraisal, and insurance consultant reports
  • Draft internal transaction documents and credit memos
  • Participate in the management of transactions through the internal credit process, providing analysis, structuring support, and communication with credit, regional, and business line managers.
  • Support the management and monitoring of a loan portfolio, including expansions, refinancings, restructurings, and exits, informed by ongoing risk analysis.

  • Auditing, building and manipulating cash flow models
  • Ability to learn or prior experience with:

  • Bank products in particular Project Finance, Interest Rate Risk management and Capital Markets
  • Ability to travel regionally, up to 10%

Salary Expectations:

Target Hiring Range: $100,000.00 - $140,000.00

This position is subject to the terms of [RAF/Rabobank/RDS]’s compensation plans and policies. It is anticipated that the position will pay within the target hiring range. The range is reflective of the desired primary physical work location and may be adjusted outside of the projected range based on geographical differentiation if the actual work location of the hired candidate differs from the desired primary location, or for other lawful reasons.
