Centralized, professional scan team supporting all business units to analyze internally developed and inbound third-party software code for compliance with open-source licenses, commercial licenses, and standards. Using a variety of software tools, review and annotate code according to defined guidelines and resolve scan projects with minimal escalations to the OS Legal group.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Scanning and reviewing code to ensure it adheres to legal compliance guidelines.
Work closely with engineering teams to resolve the legal compliance issues.
Work closely with various legal departments and stakeholders.
Required Skills
Knowledge on Opensource licenses and commercial licenses.
Ability to do high volume, repetitive tasks with extreme accuracy.
Research skills using internal resources and/or internet as needed.
Basic knowledge on issue tracking tools like Jira.
Basic knowledge on version control systems like Git, Perforce.
Good Analytical and communication skills(both verbal and written)
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field.
