Role Summary
Marex Solutions is a division of Marex providing investment banking solutions with a fintech mindset. We aim to become the world’s leading manufacturer of cross asset, customised derivatives.
Supporting the Solutions COO team to manage the solutions business, you will play a key role in building the operational infrastructure to support the rapid growth of this business, as well as helping to define and deliver the strategy for the Solutions business.
As a liaison between the Solutions Business and Control and Support functions of the wider group, you will be a key contact and the go to person for both divisions. Working alongside COO and Sales/Trading functions in delivering projects related to the initial creation, processing, and automation of the solutions product offering, enabling the business to keep growing sustainably and integrating expansion opportunities when they arise.
As a central player in the business, you will be responsible for the following:
- Deliver new sales initiatives, including launching new products or business lines
- Drive strategic sales initiatives by generating ideas and developing strategies to meet client needs and enhance the firm’s offerings
- Manage daily ad-hoc requests from Sales, contributing to both day-to-day operations and broader process improvements
- Support and drive change for the Marex Solutions Sales team by evaluating current processes and identifying opportunities for automation and technological advancements
- Collaborate with Front Office, Support, and Control stakeholders to implement business initiatives within a controlled and sustainable framework.
- Manage and develop a team
- A strong understanding of structured products and OTC derivatives is essential, with experience in optimizing and driving automation.
As a Director you will:
- Support the delivery of strategic and tactical Sales projects critical to the Solutions business by:
- Establishing project plans, defining scope, and ensuring successful execution from start to finish.
- Generating ideas to improve the management of new business initiatives.
- Effectively communicating with key stakeholders.
- Develop, review, and improve Management Information (MI) and Key Performance Indicators KPIs) to effectively guide business decisions.
- Assist in managing Solutions costs, creating transparency around budgets, and driving efficiencies and cost reductions where possible.
- Ensure operational processes related to Sales are effective and efficient, identifying improvements in onboarding, credit, change management, and governance.
- Work closely with support teams and the business to complete projects on time, providing clear updates on progress.
- Provide functional support across areas including but not limited to: Finance, Regulatory Capital, Tax, Counterparty Risk, Onboarding, and Financial Crime.
- Encourage innovation and contribute to idea generation.
- Support the assessment of existing platforms and contribute to the IT strategy for Marex Solutions.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts, Legal, and Compliance to support regulatory Sales initiatives and projects.
- Ensure that all Sales activities comply with local and general regulatory requirements.
- Oversee Sales Conflict Management and training to ensure compliance.
- Manage Sales Operational Risk Management and Risk Acceptances.
- Provide Sales MI for technical analysis to enhance business performance.
- Ensure clear and consistent communication with management and relevant teams.
