The Catalog Specialist executes catalog data management workflows that keep grocery product information accurate and complete. You will process daily operational tickets involving new item creation, product attribute corrections, listing defects, and catalog configuration exceptions generated by automated systems. Your work directly determines whether customers see correct product information (titles, images, temperature handling, barcodes, pricing units, expiry dates) when shopping across Amazon's grocery platforms.
Key job responsibilities
Execute catalog operations including new item setup (ASIN creation, offer activation, attribute population), defect remediation, and listing adjustments across Whole Foods Market, Grocery Partnerships, and Fresh programs
Process tickets generated by catalog automation systems (CIPS, CAMS, auto-cut workflows) where configuration exceptions, attribute validation failures, or rule threshold breaches require manual investigation and resolution
Validate and correct product attributes including temperature ratings, expiry information, barcode assignments, GL/PT classifications, product dimensions, and brand data per established SOPs
Investigate catalog discrepancies by cross-referencing internal tools, supplier data, and upstream/downstream systems; escalate with supporting context when resolution requires cross-team involvement
Support new merchant onboarding by processing bulk catalog loads, validating listing quality, and resolving launch-blocking defects within committed timelines
Maintain operational trackers, SOP documentation, and audit trails to ensure process traceability, team alignment, and compliance with business standards
Track and report progress on assigned tasks, collaborating with manager and peers to unblock dependencies and meet weekly/monthly goals within defined SLAs
Participate in team meetings, syncs, and reviews by providing status updates, sharing insights from ticket patterns, and helping identify recurring issues that can be addressed through process improvements
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree- Speak, write, and read fluently in English
- Experience with Microsoft Office products and applications
- Experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities, or experience working with customers with a passion for delivering exceptional service and experience with automation and any version control tools
