Glencore Mount Isa Mines is currently seeking an experienced and motivated Coordinator – Mobile Maintenance, based at the Zinc Lead Concentrator.

This full-time, permanent position reports to the Coordinator – Maintenance and operates on a 5:2, 4:3 roster, working 9-hour days.

The Role

 

As the Coordinator – Mobile Maintenance, you will play a key role in supporting the safe and efficient execution of maintenance activities across the Zinc Maintenance & Reliability teams. You will coordinate work management processes, equipment and service requests, stakeholder communications, and maintenance planning activities to ensure operational requirements are met.

This position offers the opportunity to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, optimise resource utilisation, and work collaboratively with maintenance personnel, contractors, and operational stakeholders in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Coordinating mobile equipment requests through the K2 Platform to support maintenance activities.
  • Coordinating scaffold service requests and ensuring timely delivery of requirements using the K2 Platform.
  • Managing and monitoring maintenance schedules, workflow priorities, and Outlook calendars.
  • Preparing reports, maintaining accurate records, and supporting work management processes through timely data entry and analysis.
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to communicate equipment availability, booking status, and maintenance requirements.
  • Coordinating with internal and external maintenance workshops to address maintenance-related issues and support operational outcomes.
  • Supporting workforce planning activities, including leave management and rostered day-off (RDO) coverage requirements.
  • Promoting a positive safety culture and ensuring compliance with site policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Assisting with resource allocation and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and minimise waste.
  • Building positive working relationships across maintenance and operational teams to achieve business objectives.
  • Supporting environmental compliance and reinforcing adherence to relevant policies, standards, and procedures.

 

About You

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate strong coordination, planning, and stakeholder management capabilities, combined with a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.

 

You will possess:

  • Previous experience in a maintenance coordination, scheduling, planning support, or administrative role within an industrial, mining, or heavy industry environment.
  • A Manual Australian Driver's Licence.
  • A High-Risk Work (HRW) Forklift Licence (desirable).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, with SAP, Ellipse, K2, and BSAFE experience highly regarded.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • A high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
  • A commitment to safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • The ability to work autonomously while contributing effectively within a team environment.
