Join us as a COO Office Intern

The COO Office team at Euronext oversees all operational and technical activities across the Group. It is responsible for leading critical domains such as IT for Markets, IT for Clearing, IT for Central Securities Depositories (CSDs), Digital and AI, and Transversal IT functions.

Positioned at the core of the organization, the COO Office plays a pivotal role in shaping Euronext’s technology strategy and ensuring operational resilience. It serves as both the provider of the Group’s technological framework and the guardian of its continuity and efficiency.

The team operates at the intersection of technology, operations, and strategy, offering exposure to a broad ecosystem. It also enables close collaboration with a wide range of internal functions such as Finance, Strategy, M&A, HR, Marketing, and Communications, providing a comprehensive view of the workings of a growing, pan-European market infrastructure company.

This internship within the Operating Office presents a unique opportunity to engage in strategic initiatives with direct impact on the Group’s development, particularly within IT. Working alongside the Business Manager to the Group COO, you will contribute to high-visibility projects, process improvements, and internal communications—helping to drive innovation and operational excellence across the organization.

 

Key accountabilities:

Monitor and enhance  COO performance, and strategy by :

  • Defining and tracking KPIs aimed at improving COO departments’ performance ;
  • Contributing in process optimization that will improve overall productivity within the department, working closely with external departments (Finance, Infrastructure, Information Security, IAM, End User Services, Market Operations, etc.) ;
  • Identifying and assessing potential innovations that could be relevant for COO scope ;
  • Participating in the design of the future strategic plan, and budget for the Group COO ;
  • Monitoring both key projects’ progress across the portfolio and the underlying data quality, in particular via the monthly reporting cycle and following up with relevant stakeholders.

 

Support, and empower the Group COO in their communications : conferences, regulators meetings, Group meetings with Managing Board  by :

  • Writing fact-based, concise presentations, presentations for internal or external meetings, liaising with relevant experts and stakeholders within the organization;
  • Supporting the organization of corporate events that are of critical importance for the organization such as the Townhall
  • Securing the preparation of monthly  reports for the key governance bodies, including reports to the Managing Board by liaising with the relevant departments and colleagues.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required

  • Final or penultimate year student from a business school, engineering school, or university with strong academic credentials;
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint) and in data analysis ;
  • Excellent written & spoken English language is essential ;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills – working with teams from various locations and departments, and interacting with varying levels of seniority across the organization ;
  • A hard-working autonomous team-player who brings energy, is proactive, and is keen to learn ;
  • Superior ability to navigate within virtual teams and multicultural environments ;
  • Attention to details, and sense of confidentiality is critical given the severity of the information that will be shared with the successful candidate.
