General Summary:

The Program Analyst, Staff is an entry-to-mid-level role within the NPI Program Management function, responsible for supporting the end-to-end execution of New Product Introduction programs from concept through mass production. Working closely with the NPI Program Manager, this role assists in coordinating cross-functional activities across Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing (PCBA/SMT), and Quality teams to ensure programs are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to defined quality targets. This position is designed as a structured development path toward the NPI Program Manager role, providing hands-on exposure to phase-gate processes (EVT/DVT/PVT/MP), manufacturing ramp, and stakeholder management in a fast-paced product development environment.

Key Responsibilities

NPI Program Support & Coordination

  • Assist the NPI Program Manager in maintaining the master NPI schedule covering all phase gates (EVT/DVT/PVT/MP) and key deliverables.
  • Track program milestones, action items, and deliverable status; flag risks and delays to the Program Manager in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate cross-functional meeting logistics, prepare agendas, capture meeting minutes, and follow up on action item closure.
  • Support Gate Review preparation by consolidating status updates, data, and documentation from functional teams.

Data Analysis & Program Reporting

  • Collect, organize, and analyze program data (schedule, yield, cost, quality metrics) to generate accurate status reports and dashboards.
  • Prepare weekly/bi-weekly program status reports and executive summaries for leadership review.
  • Maintain program trackers, risk logs, and issue registers; ensure data accuracy and timely updates.
  • Conduct trend analysis on key program metrics to support data-driven decision-making.

Manufacturing & Supply Chain Coordination

  • Support coordination with Supply Chain to track material readiness for prototype builds and mass production ramp.
  • Assist in monitoring PCBA and SMT line qualification activities, build schedules, and yield performance.
  • Coordinate DFM (Design for Manufacturability) and DFT (Design for Testability) review logistics and track follow-up actions.
  • Liaise with manufacturing teams to track build progress, identify bottlenecks, and escalate issues as needed.

Quality & Compliance Support

  • Support the tracking and closure of engineering change orders (ECO/ECN) and ensure controlled implementation.
  • Assist in monitoring product quality metrics and coordinating corrective action follow-ups.
  • Help maintain program documentation to ensure compliance with quality standards (IPC, ISO, IATF, etc.).
  • Participate in DFMEA/PFMEA reviews and support documentation of control plans.

Stakeholder Communication

  • Serve as a coordination point for program-related inquiries from internal teams.
  • Facilitate clear and timely communication across Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Quality stakeholders.
  • Maintain comprehensive program documentation for transparency and traceability.

Process Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to improve program tracking processes, reporting efficiency, and cross-team communication.
  • Support the capture of lessons learned and contribute to NPI process standardization initiatives.
  • Assist in implementing best practices and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for NPI program execution.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Engineering (Electronics, Mechanical, Industrial),
  • 5-8 years of experience in program management, project analysis, or NPI support roles in consumer electronics, telecom, semiconductor, or automotive electronics.
  • Basic understanding of NPI phase-gate processes (EVT → DVT → PVT → MP) and product development lifecycle.
  • Familiarity with PCBA (Printed Circuit Board Assembly) and SMT (Surface Mount Technology) manufacturing processes.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) and project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Smartsheet, or equivalent).
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data and translate findings into clear, concise reports and presentations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to coordinate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred

  • Experience supporting NPI programs in ODM/OEM collaboration models.
  • Hands-on exposure to PCBA build coordination, SMT line qualification, or manufacturing ramp activities.
  • Familiarity with quality systems and standards such as ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or IPC standards.
  • Understanding of supply chain processes including material readiness, BOM management, and procurement coordination.
  • Experience with DFM/DFT review processes and engineering change management (ECO/ECN).
  • PMP, CAPM, or equivalent project management certification is a plus.
  • Proficiency in oral and written English for global team collaboration.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 2+ years of Program Management or related work experience.
