Global Payment Solutions (GPS) is made up of almost 10,000 colleagues across 58 countries and territories. This business is uniquely positioned to help clients make payments across borders, currencies and regulations, quickly and efficiently with dedicated in-country and regional support. We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Regional Contract Manager, Client Connectivity.

In this role you will:

  • Oversee the end-to-end contract lifecycle and negotiation pipeline of Global Payments Solutions (GPS). This will include the execution and lodgment of contracts related to GPS services, aligning with business objectives and monitoring compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
  • The jobholder is responsible for (i) providing negotiations advice against the backdrop of both the legal framework and internal business guideline; and (ii) assisting Corporate and Institutional Bank and specifically the GPS business to identify and manage relevant risks associated with its transactions.
  • Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to contract performance and negotiation outcomes.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve contract management and negotiation processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness, leveraging technology and best practices.
  • Support commercialization activities of Global contract management initiatives including managing local business, risk and compliance approvals, training to stakeholders and monitoring for success
  • Provide training and support to internal teams on contract management, documentation best practices and negotiation policies and procedures, ensuring a clear understanding of contractual obligations.
  • Step in to act as a bridge between the client and the bank if required to resolve any escalations or blockers towards mutually agreeable outcomes
  • Own the customer experience associated to negotiations and position HSBC as the bank-of-choice when it comes to perceptions on ease of documentation.

To be successful you will need:

  • Minimum 7 years of work experience
  • Relevant experience in contract management, preferably within the banking or financial services industry, with a focus on cash management or payments.
  • Strong understanding of substantive legal concepts and industry best practices related to contract management.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Advanced writing skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or law or a related field; advanced degree or professional certification is a plus.
