**Role:** Technical Program Manager, Devices and Services FinTech at Amazon DaS FinTech. **Responsibilities:** Lead end-to-end FinTech projects, spanning Kindle to Ring and Kuiper, driving results across diverse teams and time zones. Navigate ambiguity, balance business needs and technical constraints, and make critical trade-offs. Identify, scope, and deliver complex projects. **Requirements:** Proven FinTech experience, robust PM skills, strategic thinking, consensus-building abilities, and exceptional judgment. Must thrive in complexity and ambiguity, with a data-driven mindset. Experience with AWS services, and financial data analysis tools is a plus. This is an advanced-level role, seeking a seasoned Technical Program Manager with a strong FinTech background.
Amazon Devices and Services Fintech is the global team that designs and builds the financial planning and analysis tools for wide variety of Amazon’s new and established organizations. From Kindle to Ring and even new and exciting companies like Kuiper (our new interstellar satellite play) this team enjoys a wide variety of complex and interesting problem spaces. They are almost like FinTech consultants embedded in Amazon.
As a Technical Program Manager, you will be responsible for identifying, scoping, and delivering end to end projects. You will be comfortable working across time zones and through ambiguity. You thrive through building consensus and driving teams towards results. You will anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs, and balance the business needs versus technical constraints. An ability to take large, complex projects and break them down into manageable pieces to deliver them in a successful and timely manner. Maturity, high judgment, negotiation skills, ability to influence, analytical talent and leadership are essential to success in this role.
Key job responsibilities
Unblock technical issues by pulling together the multi-functional technical expertise to resolve issues
Develop, track, & communicate project schedules and achievements
Drive project execution, develop project plans, make technical trade-offs, manage risks, track and report on status, and resolve blocking issues
Establish goals and metrics to identify opportunities to deliver customer solutions to meet cost, performance and schedule requirements.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or equivalent- 2+ years of software development experience
- 3+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience building and evaluating system-level technical design
- 3+ years of product management experience
- Experience in project management domains including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience- Knowledge of Six Sigma tools, Lean techniques, PMP or similar standards preferred
- Knowledge of web services, distributed systems, and web application development
- Can work proactively and independently, meet deadlines, and deliver on projects and tasks
