**TPRM Governance Specialist:** Strengthen Vanguard's third-party risk management (TPRM) lifecycle by driving governance improvements. Key responsibilities include identifying risks, implementing controls, and ensuring strategic risk-informed decisions. Must have 5-7 years of TPRM experience, strong governance and risk management skills, and proficiency in tools likeNAVEX Global, RSA Archer, or similar GRC platforms. Familiarity with enterprise risk management frameworks (e.g., ISO, COSO, NIST) is a plus.

Third Party Risk Management (TPRM)’s mission is to reduce extended enterprise risk at Vanguard. We protect Vanguard through our stewardship of the third-party risk lifecycle and enable strategic, risk informed decisions.

As a Governance Specialist on the TPRM Strategy & Governance team, you will play a key role in advancing this mission by strengthening how third-party risks are identified, governed, and managed across Vanguard. If you are interested in driving forward a highly visible, rapidly evolving global program with enterprise impacts, this is the opportunity for you!

Responsibilities:

  • Steward and evolve Vanguard’s Global TPRM Policy and associated standards.
  • Develop enterprise risk metrics, dashboards, and reporting to create improved transparency and inform third-party risk reduction activities.
  • Lead assurance initiatives to strengthen thirdparty risk oversight, monitor compliance with TPRM policies and standards, and drive enterprise accountability.
  • Support enterprise and departmental initiatives that advance the maturity, effectiveness, and sustainability of Vanguard’s global third-party risk program.
  • Provide strategic risk advisory support for risk partners and divisional stakeholders, serving as a trusted thought partner for third-party risk.
  • Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

· Minimum of five years’ related work experience, with two years’ experience in risk management.

· Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. Graduate degree preferred.

· Ability to collaborate and engage with key program stakeholders.

· Demonstrated program and project management experience.

· Strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, and clear written and verbal communication skills.

· Professional certification (CTPRP, CPA, CIA, CISI, CRISC, etc.) preferred.

Important Information

  • This position operates in a hybrid environment. Team members are expected on‑site at Vanguard’s campus Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday each week. Monday and Friday are designated remote workdays, unless business needs require otherwise.
