**Power & Natural Gas Analyst:** Monitor electricity and natural gas markets. Key responsibilities include analyzing price dynamics, developing market scenarios, tracking transactions, managing CAMMESA filings, and administering energy supply contracts. Leverage your expertise in energy markets and data analysis to drive commercial strategy. Proven experience in the industry and strong analytical skills are essential.

Main Purpose:
Analyze, monitor, and manage variables within the electricity and natural gas markets, providing support for the commercialization of electric power and natural gas, while actively participating in commercial strategy and contract negotiation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor the evolution of technical, economic, and regulatory variables within the Wholesale Electricity Market (MEM) and Natural Gas market.
  • Analyze spot prices, seasonal prices, marginal costs, demand, and generation data.
  • Develop price projections and market scenarios to support commercial decision-making in both the Electricity and Natural Gas markets.
  • Track economic and physical market transactions.
  • Manage filings and submissions before CAMMESA.
  • Review monthly settlements, commercial documents, and economic transactions issued by CAMMESA for the preparation of monthly invoicing.
  • Reconcile commercial and operational information against data published by CAMMESA.
  • Administer electricity supply contracts with Large Users, Generators, and Distributors.
  • Monitor contractual coverage.
  • Analyze supply costs for prospective clients, participate in the preparation of commercial offers, and assess contract profitability.
  • Identify cost optimization opportunities in energy buying and selling.
  • Participate in the development of the annual commercial strategy.
  • Develop analytical models and tools to optimize commercial and regulatory management.
  • Interpret resolutions issued by the Argentine National Energy Secretariat and other bodies related to the electricity sector.
  • Continuously monitor regulatory changes that may impact the business.
  • Ensure compliance with procedures, regulations, and requirements established for MEM agents.
  • Monitor natural gas dispatch and manage Trafigura's supply and demand balances.
  • Negotiate spot purchases and sales, securing competitive conditions for the company.

Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Degree in Engineering, Economics, or related fields with a strong analytical orientation.
  • Commercial profile with strong data analysis skills, autonomy, proactivity, and ability to work in dynamic environments.
  • Desirable knowledge of electricity and natural gas market operations.
  • Experience in data analysis tools (AI, Power BI, SQL, Python, or similar) and presentation development.
  • Advanced English.
  • Advanced Excel.
