You work directly with security architects, analysts, engineers, and leadership to understand the problem, identify opportunities, and develop solutions that improve efficiency, visibility, and risk management. What You'll Be DoingLead end-to-end design, development, and delivery of AI-powered cybersecurity solutions, from problem definition through deployment and operational support Design and develop GenAI applications, AI agents, RAG platforms, and advanced analytics solutions that automate cybersecurity processes and improve operational efficiency Build secure LLM-powered services and agentic workflows that integrate with security technologies including source-code repositories, SAST/DAST tools, threat models, cloud platforms, SIEM, SOAR, IAM, CMDB, and vulnerability management systems Work directly with security architects, analysts, and engineering teams to identify high-impact use cases, translate requirements into technical designs, and deliver production-ready solutions Evaluate, test, and implement large language models and machine learning frameworks to solve real security challenges like automated threat analysis, policy enforcement, and risk assessment Own the full application lifecycle including architecture decisions, code quality, testing, deployment pipelines, monitoring, and continuous improvement Present technical solutions and business outcomes to security leadership and executive stakeholders, demonstrating measurable impact on operational efficiency and risk reduction
The Impact You Will HaveAccelerate security incident response times by automating investigation workflows that currently require hours of manual analysis Enable security teams to scale their operations without proportional headcount growth through intelligent automation and decision support Reduce mean time to remediation for vulnerabilities by building AI systems that prioritize, contextualize, and recommend fixes based on actual business risk Establish Synopsys as a leader in AI-powered security operations, creating platforms that other organizations will look to as the standard Free security analysts from repetitive tasks so they can focus on strategic threat hunting and architectural improvements Improve visibility into security posture across the organization by building AI systems that synthesize data from disparate tools into actionable intelligence Create a defensible foundation against AI-enabled threats by building AI-native security capabilities before adversaries fully weaponize the technology
What You'll Need5+ years of hands-on software development experience building production applications, with at least 2 years focused on AI/ML or security domains Strong proficiency in Python for building AI applications, APIs, automation, and integration with security tools Demonstrated experience designing and deploying GenAI applications, RAG systems, or AI agents in production environments Working knowledge of large language models, prompt engineering, vector databases, and retrieval-augmented generation architectures Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles, tools, and workflows including SIEM, SOAR, vulnerability management, IAM, or cloud security platforms Experience integrating with security technologies such as SAST/DAST tools, threat modeling platforms, CMDB systems, or security orchestration tools is a plus Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
Who You AreYou can walk into a room with security analysts who are drowning in alerts and walk out with a clear plan for an AI agent that triages the noise and surfaces what actually matters You make architectural decisions that balance cutting-edge AI capabilities with the reality of what security teams can actually deploy, maintain, and trust You push back when a use case is too vague or when leadership wants AI for the sake of AI, and you redirect the conversation toward measurable security outcomes You write code that other engineers can read, maintain, and extend, because you know your solution will outlive your direct involvement with it You stay current with AI and security research not by chasing hype but by evaluating what actually solves problems your teams face today You can explain complex AI concepts like RAG, embeddings, or agent frameworks to a non-technical security leader in two minutes without losing the technical accuracy
The Team You'll Be Part Of
You will join a newly formed AI Security team of four people, currently based in the US, including an AI Architect, AI Engineers, and AI Security Managers. You will report to a Cyber Security Senior Architect. This role is part of the team's expansion into Greece, and you will work closely with an additional AI Automation Engineer who will join the Athens team. The team operates in a distributed environment across Athens and the US, and you will work hybrid from the Athens office. The team is in build mode, defining AI security architecture, selecting tools, and establishing the security foundation for AI across the enterprise and in products
