**Chief Kubernetes Engineer** in Vilnius, Lithuania. Lead our Linux and Container Orchestration team, managing 10,000+ Linux machines and 50,000+ containers across private and public clouds. Join our Linux and Container Orchestration team at Danske Bank – where cool tech meets big goals. We manage Linux and container - based services in both private and public clouds. You’ll be part of a team handling over 10,000 Linux machines and pioneering OpenShift clusters in the financial Nordics, running 50,000+ containers. You will:

  • Play a key role in designing and supporting new container orchestration offering in AWS – EKS

  • Build EKS automation and integrations with the help of existing services and security in mind

  • Use your expertise to provide guidance to our infrastructure teams, users, and developers, and mentor your team members

  • Work with infrastructure service users to tackle ongoing issues, using your technical acumen and problem-solving skills to ensure smooth operations and minimize downtime

  • Automate processes to make operations run efficiently, allowing more time for innovation and strategic tasks

  • Have an opportunity to bring forward new ideas and strategies to keep our infrastructure at the forefront of the industry

  • Contribute insights to the roadmap for future development and enhancements of our services

About you:

  • 4 + years of hands-on experience in deploying, managing, and scaling Kubernetes clusters, specifically in AWS EKS

  • Solid understanding of the core components of AWS EKS, Kubernetes or OpenShift

  • Profound knowledge of AWS core services: VPC, EC2, S3, IAM, Route 53, Load Balancers, Storage, Lambda

  • Advanced skills in using DevOps and IaC tools, such as Azure DevOps, Terraform, Ansible, GitHub Actions

  • Understanding of security technologies and observability practices, methods, and tools in AWS

  • Great troubleshooting and debugging skills, enabling you to diagnose and fix issues quickly and efficiently

  • Solid communication skills with the ability to work with diverse teams and build a positive working environment

  • Upper-Intermediate skills in English

We offer:

Monthly salary range from 4960 EUR to 7440 EUR gross (based on your competencies relevant for the job).
