**Lead Engineer I, .NET Full Stack Development** KPMG's Tax Ignition Team seeks a Lead Engineer I. You'll collaborate with product owners and data scientists to translate business needs into AI-powered features and APIs. Your core responsibilities include architecting, developing, and maintaining scalable .NET microservices for model inference. Key skills: C#, .NET Core, RESTful services, Microservices architecture, Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS), Agile methodologies. 8+ years of experience in .NET development, with at least 3 years in a lead/senior role.

KPMG is currently seeking a Lead Engineer I to join our Tax Ignition Team.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with product owners and data scientists to translate business needs into AI‑powered features and APIs

Architect, develop, and maintain scalable microservices for model inference (on Azure or similar)

Build and maintain client‑facing web apps in Angular + TypeScript, Python or .NET Framework/C# backend services and APIs, secure SQL databases (T‑SQL, schema design, stored procs)

Leverage Azure services (App Services, Functions, SQL Database, DevOps) for deployment, scaling and monitoring

Integrate Large Language Models (LLMs) and other AI services (such as Azure OpenAI, Custom Models Serving) into our front‑end and back‑end systems

Act with integrity, professionalism and personal responsibility to uphold KPMG's respectful and courteous work environment

Qualifications:

Minimum five years of recent experience in software development and systems architecture

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in computer science, engineering or related field is preferred; Master's degree from an accredited college or university is desired

Solid understanding of software engineering such as microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, authentication/authorization

Experience building enterprise systems using Python, .NET, C#, Angular, SQL and Azure is preferred

Strong communication and analytical skills are required, strong Python skills and experience with ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit‑learn) is preferred
