**Linux Systems Administrator: Ubisoft Bucharest** Ubisoft Bucharest's IT Live Games team seeks an experienced Linux Administrator to join a 5-member distributed team (FR/RO). Key responsibilities include managing, optimizing, and securing Linux systems, designing and scaling cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, OpenStack), deploying solutions, ensuring security and high service quality, and implementing CI/CD pipelines. Required skills: extensive Linux experience, infrastructure as code (Terraform, Chef, Ansible), programming prowess, network diagnosis, and database management.

The IT Live Games team from Ubisoft Bucharest is looking for a Linux Administrator to join a team of 5 System Administrators distributed between France and Romania.

In this role you will manage and optimize Linux systems while designing, securing, and scaling modern cloud infrastructure that powers our live gaming ecosystem.

What you'll do

  • Be in charge of the Linux systems, including tasks such as installations, maintenance, upgrades, system performance and application patching.
  • Contribute to the design and maintenance of future and current infrastructure,
  • Develop and deploy solutions in Public Cloud (AWS, GCP) / Private Cloud (OpenStack),
  • Apply security best practices, deploy and maintain databases, write documentation and standard operating procedures.
  • Monitor system events to ensure availability and good service quality.
  • Participate in the on-call rotation.
  • Advanced troubleshooting, diagnosis, and problem resolution (infrastructure / network / systems / logs / metrics),
  • Cultivate a strong relationship with development teams and partners alike,
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines according to DevOps best practices,

Technologies you will be exposed to (experience on these technologies is appreciated):

  • Infrastructure as Code/Configuration management: Terraform, Chef, Ansible…
  • Private and public Cloud: AWS, GCP, OpenStack,
  • Containerization: Kubernetes and Docker
  • Understanding of networking concepts and protocols, and troubleshooting expertise in this context
  • CI/CD: Argo CD, Gitlab CI, Jenkins
  • Security: Vault, Azure Ad

Qualifications

The professional value you bring:

  • A first experience working as a System Administrator/ DevOps
  • Deep knowledge of GNU/LINUX system administration
  • Experience maintaining customer-facing production environments
  • Experience working across multiple regions remotely with colleagues and development teams
  • Excellent knowledge of Linux operating systems with experience in administering critical systems – performance and high availability,
  • Experience with source control tools such as Git, and good knowledge of source control management concepts such as branching, merging, integration, and versioning,
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Bash, Ruby, and Python,
  • Experience with infrastructure monitoring and visualization tools: Prometheus, Zabbix, Grafana, Kibana,
  • Experience with database technologies: Redis, MySQL, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, and related concepts,
  • Fluent in English
