The Customer Capabilities Tribe includes about 100 colleagues across Denmark, Poland, India, and our newly established branch in Lithuania. We are organized into 10 cross-functional teams delivering end-to-end solutions for critical domains such as Fees, Interest, Tax Reporting, and Customer Communication.

This role sits in Customer Communication Management Delivery within our Lithuania branch. The platform supports essential banking products and customer experiences for Danske Bank at scale, with high transaction volumes. You will work with multiple cross-functional squads, set standards, and define architecture across the Tribe.

As our solution architect, you will identify the needs of the business, its customers, and development teams. Clear, convincing communication and the ability to facilitate and inspire engagement among colleagues are vital. We are looking for proven architecture expertise and experience driving key technology and business changes.

You will help shape the architectural direction for one of the largest banks in Northern Europe, leading solution architecture within a core banking domain. You will design and build IT solutions and help establish operational readiness and quality principles across the organization. You will thrive in this role if you combine broad technical understanding with deep expertise in selected areas, and you enjoy learning, sharing knowledge, and enabling teams to deliver.

The position is based in Vilnius, Lithuania. We support workplace flexibility through a hybrid model, with at least three days per week in the office. Please note that this role does not include a relocation allowance. 

You will:

• Design application architectures and guide delivery in line with strategic roadmaps
• Maintain a holistic view across solutions, systems, and stakeholders, and define architectural patterns that guide development teams
• Facilitate architecture and design sessions, and contribute to hands-on implementation across multiple development teams
• Partner in backlog refinement to ensure cohesive solution design across the tribe
• Continuously improve ways of working across squads and tribes
• Collaborate closely with product owners, business analysts, UX designers, software engineers, and other architects
• Identify and integrate AI and generative AI capabilities where they create clear business and customer value

About you:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience); AWS or similar certifications are beneficial
• Extensive experience designing and delivering complex, distributed systems in an enterprise environment
• Strong solution architecture skills, including non-functional requirements, trade-offs, integration patterns, and data flows
• Practical software engineering background (for example, modern back-end development, APIs, messaging, and cloud-native patterns)
• Proficiency in domain modelling and Domain Driven Design (DDD)
• Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and influence decisions across teams
• Experience working in agile, cross-functional setups and enabling teams through pragmatic standards and governance
• Strong focus on operational readiness, security, and quality (for example, resilience, monitoring, and incident learning)
• Curiosity and a continuous-learning mindset, including an interest in applying AI and generative AI responsibly
• Strong collaboration skills and advanced proficiency in English

Monthly salary range from 5760 EUR to 8640 EUR gross (based on your competencies relevant for the job).
