Job Role Description
Job Role Responsibilities
- Identify, originate, and develop high-quality domestic gas offtake opportunities, converting them into profitable short-term and long-term sales agreements.
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline of credible gas offtakers across industrial, power, city-gas, and distributor segments.
- Establish and sustain senior-level relationships with key natural gas end users, distributors, aggregators, and relevant market institutions.
- Develop, evaluate, and implement innovative pricing structures, product offering and risk-mitigation solutions tailored to evolving market conditions.
- Apply strong analytical capabilities to assess market fundamentals, customer economics, and portfolio impacts under varying price and demand scenarios.
- Work closely with Gas Operations, Optimization, Trading, and Risk Management teams to ensure effective contract implementation, value protection, and capture incremental optimization opportunities.
- Contribute market intelligence and commercial insights to inform broader portfolio and strategy decisions.

Required Experience & Qualifications
- 10+ years of proven experience in domestic gas and LNG market development, sales, marketing, or commercial roles, with a strong record of executed transactions.
- Well-established network of natural gas end users, distributors, and key market participants in China, preferably with strong coverage in Southern China.
- Demonstrated expertise in commercial structuring, including innovative pricing, indexation, flexibility provisions, and risk-mitigation tools under both short-term and long-term agreements.
- Proven experience in evaluating, developing, and executing gas or LNG product offerings via major oil and gas exchanges in China.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex market dynamics into actionable commercial strategies.
- Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills, with the credibility to engage senior counterparts.
- Strong understanding of China’s domestic gas market structure, regulatory environment, and evolving trading mechanisms.
- Minimum Master’s degree in Engineering, Economics, Commerce, or a related discipline; advanced degree is a plus.
- Fluency in Mandarin and English, written and spoken.
