LEAD SOFTWARE ENGINEER: THE ROLE: AMD is looking for a specialized principal software engineer who is passionate about improving developer experience and releasing quality builds. Lead engineer will be responsible for designing test frameworks and tools for shift-left purposes and integration into the CI pipelines. Able to communicate effectively and work optimally with various teams across geos . KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Architect, design and develop test frameworks and related development tools needed for the CI Build reusable frameworks to support reporting for the tests and producing artifacts for the CI pipelines Integrate various test categories into CI pipelines supporting shift-left activities and improving developer feedback loops Ensure frameworks and tools follow strong software engineering coding practices, including modular design, extensibility, and performance Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineers working on various frameworks and tools using for RoCm components PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 15+ years of experience Ability to write high quality code with a keen attention to detail Proven experience in building scalable and modular frameworks Proven experience working in an open source model Experience with GitHub, Jenkins or similar and development workflows Experience in integration and working with CI pipelines Hands-on knowledge of automated test execution, result collection, and pipeline-based gating Experience with software development processes and tools such as debuggers, source code control systems (GitHub) and profilers is a plus Effective communication and problem-solving skills ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent #LI-PK1 Benefits offered are described: AMD benefits at a glance.
