Minimum qualifications:
- PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).
- Experience working with data structures or algorithms during coursework/projects, research, internships, or practical experience in school or work (e.g., open-source coding).
Preferred qualifications:
- 2 years of experience related to infrastructure automation, cloud platforms (particularly Google Cloud/GCE), CI/CD systems, or building/maintaining large-scale testing/staging environments.
- Experience in leveraging AI/ML in solving Developer Experience/DevOps related problems.

Our mission is to improve the reliability of GCE services and decrease time to ship new features to customers. GCE Control Plane manages all of google compute offerings and is in the critical path for releasing new features for 300+ engineers across 15+ teams globally.

Responsibilities
- Manage API test coverage gaps discovery and test auto generation for complex compute workloads.
- Create and run virtual machines on Google infrastructure.
- Develop tools, frameworks, and release processes that empower Control Plane developers to efficiently release software to meet ongoing demand for new Compute feature for Google Cloud customers.
