Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in software development.
- 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
- Ability to communicate in Mandarin and English fluently to partner with local clients and regional partners.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree in a relevant technical field.
- Experience in networking spanning one or more of the configuration, control and data planes.
- Experience with infrastructure technologies including developing large-scale distributed systems.
- Experience developing solutions to ambiguous problems with significant impact.
- Ability to help quickly and resolve customer-related issues.
About the job
In this role, you will build Cloud Interconnect, which virtualizes the edge and backbone and allows enterprise customers to connect their on-premises data centers/networks to GCP at 100 and 10 Gb/s speed. Interconnect has been one of the key features for GCP to onboard large enterprises and as such is a high impact project. You will also span to connecting smaller customers through partners, as well as building ultra-low-latency interconnects in order for customers to be able to use large file stores and databases operated by third-parties, adjacent to (but not within) Google data centers. You will manage complexity from physical network and routers through cloud virtualization.

- Architect, design, and scale the Cloud networking infrastructure to enable AI driven workloads to unlock their full potential.
- Drive key components of the Cloud networking portfolio to enable the hybrid cloud technical roadmap and contribute to long-term architectural improvements.
- Advocate and drive engineering and operational excellence.
- Drive technical designs for complex projects, influence the cross-functional teams to deliver on ambitious goals.
