Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Principal Solutions Architect to join our thriving technical community and growing business across Central Eastern Europe. You will be part of the Financial Services Enterprise team, leading technical strategy and innovation across the region. As a senior member of our Solutions Architecture team, you'll drive transformational innovation for large enterprise financial services customers by architecting and implementing cloud solutions. You'll be at the forefront of emerging technologies, guiding customers through their journey to adopt agentic AI workloads, autonomous systems, and intelligent automation that reshape how financial institutions operate and serve their customers.

In this role, you'll leverage the full breadth of AWS cloud technologies to design scalable, secure, and compliant architectures that accelerate digital transformation across multiple markets. You'll champion innovation by identifying opportunities to apply agentic architecture patterns, AI-SDLC methodologies, and modern application designs that deliver measurable business outcomes. Working closely with C-level executives and technical leaders across the region, you'll translate complex business challenges into agentic, cloud-native solutions that drive competitive advantage in the rapidly evolving financial services landscape.

Key job responsibilities
As a Principal Solutions Architect, you'll provide technical leadership across Europe Central, taking ownership of strategic customer relationships and driving architectural excellence. You'll deliver expert recommendations on solution design, migration strategies, security, and best-practice architectures - with a focus on agentic architecture patterns, AI-SDLC, and intelligent automation systems. Your influence extends beyond customer interactions; you'll architect solutions leveraging agentic workloads, autonomous systems, and AI-native application designs to deliver measurable business outcomes.

You'll serve as a technical thought leader, mentoring Solutions Architects across the region and elevating team capabilities. As an internal advocate, you'll drive continuous improvements to the AWS platform based on customer needs, particularly in agentic AI and AI-SDLC transformation. You'll contribute to the AWS knowledge base by creating best practices, reference architectures, and reusable artifacts that advance cloud adoption in financial services (white papers, code samples, blog posts on agentic architecture patterns).

You'll educate and evangelize AWS technology through workshops, conferences, and public speaking - expanding our reach across Europe Central. You'll champion agentic AI systems and autonomous workload architectures that enable financial institutions to innovate at scale.

You are an experienced technology leader with strong business acumen and a builder mindset. You excel at translating complex business challenges into agentic, cloud-native solutions with proven track record implementing agentic AI workloads and AI-SDLC practices in enterprise contexts.

Basic Qualifications

- 10+ years of hands-on experience in Cloud Architecture, Solution Architecture, Systems Design, Software Development, Machine Learning, or Data Engineering & Analytics.
- 7+ years as a developer, application architect, or technical leader at Financial Services companies (Banking, Capital Markets, FinTech) or FSI consulting
- Demonstrated experience designing and implementing agentic architectures and scalable solutions driving enterprise transformation
- Experience engaging Business and IT decision makers, including C-Level stakeholders, driving strategic initiatives focused on agentic AI and intelligent automation
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, business-fluent English

Preferred Qualifications

- Deep expertise with AWS technologies and cloud-native architectures, including serverless, containers, microservices, and distributed systems
- Experience migrating large-scale, complex legacy solutions to cloud with measurable business impact across multiple customers
- Hands-on experience implementing agentic AI architectures, autonomous workloads, and AI-SDLC practices in enterprise contexts
- Experience with agentic system design, AI/ML frameworks, LLM integration, and intelligent automation systems
- Strong understanding of FSI regulatory requirements across multiple markets
