Lead QA strategy and automation for Alexa Endpoints, building and guiding a high-performing QA team across web and back-end services. Set the QA vision, manage project schedules, drive automation, and ensure software quality and performance through rigorous testing. Collaborate with Product, Software Development, UX, and Support to align on requirements and customer usage models in a fast-paced environment.

A Quality Assurance Manager in the Alexa ecosystem plays a critical role in driving product quality and team performance across multiple technical domains. The QAM will work closely with Product Management, Software Development Engineering, User Experience Design, and Customer Support groups to understand product vision, requirements, and customer usage models while developing comprehensive test strategies.

Key job responsibilities
Key responsibilities include setting the QA team's technical vision and roadmap, developing and tracking project schedules, and managing a team responsible for validating software functionality, stability, and performance. The successful Quality Assurance Manager must have a strong customer focus and be obsessed with continuous quality improvement, with particular expertise in creating world-class automation for feature testing and regression.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to develop and drive high-level strategies while simultaneously taking a hands-on approach to implementation. They must be experienced in working within cross-disciplinary organizations and capable of driving strategy to implementation in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Critical skills include the ability to:
1. Develop comprehensive test strategies
2. Create and track project schedules
3. Build and lead high-performing QA teams
4. Implement advanced automation frameworks
5. Ensure software functionality and performance meet high-quality standards.

Basic Qualifications

- 1+ years of quality assurance engineering experience
- 3+ years of quality assurance teams management experience
- Experience managing manual testers
- Experience managing automation testers
- Experience testing web technologies and back-end services
- Experience identifying and reviewing test plans, test cases and testing results with a strong QA background

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience preparing quality metrics and effectively engaging with stakeholders to set and drive quality goals
- Experience transforming QA programs from manual to automation
