Join Amazon's Finance Automation (FinAuto FDM) as a Senior Software Development Engineer to help build large-scale financial systems that process transactions. We are looking for candidates who bring solid analytical and problem-solving skills, experience in software development, and an interest in building maintainable and reliable applications . Team members collaborate with internal stakeholders and partner teams across Amazon to develop applications that meet high operational standards for availability and reliability. In the workflow management space, engineers often work on new problem areas and have opportunities to build reusable components that support broader engineering needs.

We are looking for engineers who communicate clearly, work independently or collaboratively, adapt to changing requirements, and contribute positively to team culture. This role may include participating in design reviews and supporting the development of other engineers.

In this role, you will help build new software products and features from the ground up. You will work with a range of technologies, programming languages, and systems, and stay engaged with evolving industry trends.

Your responsibilities will span the full software development lifecycle, with opportunities to share ideas and see your work deliver value across Amazon. The Finance Automation team is seeking a software development engineer to contribute to large, complex initiatives that support our global operations.

Key job responsibilities
6+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Basic Qualifications

- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
- 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

- 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
