Lead a team of Solutions Architects focused on early-stage to growth-stage startups across India. Hands-on with customers on complex cloud architecture challenges while coaching the team to elevate impact. Build trusted advisor relationships with startup founders and CTOs, and partner with AWS sales, product, investor management, and engineering teams to drive startup success. Develop the team’s technical depth and strategic advisory capabilities while guiding cloud adoption, migration, and modernization programs.
As a Sr. Solutions Architecture Manager for India Startups, you will lead a team of skilled Solutions Architects who partner with early-stage to growth-stage startups across India. You will be hands-on, working directly with customers on significantly complex technical challenges while coaching your team to elevate their impact. You should bring proven strategic thinking, deep technical expertise, and demonstrated ability to influence across organizations.
You will need to be technically capable and credible in your own right—able to architect solutions to significantly complex problems, decompose technical complexity into straightforward solutions, and serve as a trusted advisor to startup founders and CTOs. Simultaneously, you must be effective in developing the customer-facing and technical skills of your experienced team members.
In addition to technical depth, you should have a solid understanding of the startup journey—the unique challenges startups face and how technology can empower their businesses. You will work directly with a variety of startups, helping them make the best technical decisions as they scale, while building your team's capability to do the same.
Key job responsibilities
Customer Engagement & Technical Leadership
- Lead critical customer engagements including cloud adoption and migration programs, and complex technical challenges with high-stakes outcomes
- Serve as a trusted technical advisor to startup founders and senior business and technical leaders, operating at a strategic level and creating opportunities for your team to act as trusted advisors
- Apply deep technical understanding across multiple domains to invent, evolve, and simplify solutions that drive customer success
Team Leadership & Development
- Coach and develop experienced Solutions Architects to elevate their technical capabilities and strategic advisory abilities
- Build a high-performing team through effective hiring, onboarding, and continuous skill development
- Foster a culture of technical excellence and customer obsession
- Maintain a high bar for operational excellence; define and maintain appropriate cadences for inspecting the business in your area
Strategic Impact & Collaboration
- Champion your area’s customer needs with senior leaders within AWS
- Bridge customer needs with AWS product teams, ensuring customer feedback drives product improvements
- Partner with senior leaders within AWS sales, investor management, specialist, and engineering teams to deliver comprehensive solutions and clear obstacles to customer success

Basic Qualifications
- 10+ years of managing a technical team of solution architects, sales engineers or similar technical roles experience- 8+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience architecting/operating solutions built on any cloud service provider like Azure, AWS, GCP, OCI, etc.
- Experience in people management and CXO level engagement
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience architecting, migrating, transforming or modernizing customer requirements to the cloud- AWS Professional level certification
